The process is very simple. Once the quotation has been approved and you decide to work with us, your project moves to our 3D modeling department. This is where your product, space, or design is built in 3D. Throughout the process, we send you screenshots and videos showing the progress, as well as any questions or elements that may need to be defined in greater detail. Sometimes, moving from 2D documentation to a 3D model reveals questions or details that were not apparent before. This stage allows us to identify and resolve them. Our team also includes professionals from different design disciplines, including architecture and advertising, who have been modeling all kinds of projects since 2004. If needed, they can also suggest solutions and help you resolve any design questions that may arise during the process.
Once the 3D modeling phase is complete, we define the materials and finishes. At this stage, the client provides references to establish color palettes, textures, and the type of materials to be used throughout the project. This is also when we can define any interactive features to be included in the virtual reality experience. Change materials or geometry in real time, display holograms to explain specific elements of the project, create sectional views to reveal installations and technical systems, simulate sunlight in real time, and much more. Whatever you can imagine, we can make it possible. Every application is designed and developed exclusively for you and your project.
Finally, once the entire process has been defined and approved, we begin programming the application and bringing your project to life in virtual reality. When this stage is complete, we provide you with a standalone application that includes both versions: desktop and VR headset. The application automatically detects whether a VR headset is connected. If one is detected, it launches in VR mode. If no headset is connected, it automatically runs in desktop mode.
A virtual setup consists of just a computer or laptop and a VR headset. Nothing more. You can get some of the most advanced VR headsets — and the ones we work with most at 3VE — for much less than you might think. And if you have any questions, we can advise you and help you choose the right equipment. If you already have a laptop or computer with a mid-range or even entry-level graphics card, you may not need to buy a new one at all. With a suitable computer and VR headset, you can have a complete virtual setup for less than €600. And if you use a laptop, your virtual setup becomes fully portable, so you can take it with you wherever you need it.
